SMART DONATION

Project Context

Overview

Smart Donations makes donating to charitable organizations quick and easy by centralizing comprehensive research, providing comparative capabilities and facilitating transactions.

Search for a charitable organization on Smart Donations and donate securely on our site with any major credit card. We will send your gift to the charity, email a receipt, and keep track of your donations in your password­ protected account.

Challenge

Users value a seamless and intuitive donation experience but are deterred by excessive steps or complexity in the donation process. Simplifying the donation journey by streamlining steps and reducing cognitive load can significantly enhance user engagement and conversion rates on the Smart Donations platform. Understanding and addressing these usability challenges will be critical to ensuring a positive user experience and encouraging continued charitable contributions through the platform.

Solution

Implement a streamlined donation process where users can make donations quickly and easily without encountering unnecessary steps or complexities. Minimize form fields and required inputs to reduce cognitive load and friction during the donation journey.

Design a clear and intuitive navigation structure that directs users to charity listings, donation options, and account management features effortlessly. Use descriptive labels and logical categorization to help users navigate the platform efficiently and find relevant information easily.

Created to visualize the organization of information across the Smart Donations platform, starting from the landing page. This map serves as a blueprint for structuring content, navigation pathways, and user interactions, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience.

Landing / Home Page

The landing page is standalone web page distinct from the main site, which is designed to help focus on delivering the site's primary benefits and values, and drive users to specific actions; in the case of Smart Donations, we want users to search for charities to donate to. A toolbar is provided to allow users to navigate to other sections of the site.

    


For Donors Page

Smart Donations helps connect two groups: donor and charities. This page is dedicated to providing information about the features unique to the role of donors on Smart Donations and to encourage signing up for an account. 


For Charities Page

This page is focused on providing Charities the value proposition for sharing their information and becoming listed in our database. 


Charities By Category Page

Users who visit Smart Donations who will be making donations to charities will start their charity search on this page. Charities in the S mart Donation database are groups by category. Users can search and filter charities based on these filters. 


Charity Detail Page

For each charity, the Smart Donations site will have a detail page dedicated to provide background and related metrics about that charity. In this page, user who wish to donate this specific charity can choose to initiate the donation process by filling out a small form and click on the "Donate" button.. 


About Us Page

This page provides visitors more information about Smart Donations, our history and contact information. This page also allows Smart Donations to elaborate on the value proposition provided to donors and charities.
